When my feet are off the road
With the ongoing Coleridge effect becoming a bit of a bore and continually having to clean mud off my boots, I realized just how much time I spend off the road doing this sort of stuff and decided to separate things a little.
Running my Simian Circles travel blog and including all the stuff I do when at home is a bit much. The thought of dropping all the off the road posts occurred to me, then I realized I could divide them. This domain was sitting idle, so the decision was made to move some of the categories posts to here, including some of the past entries. However, there will be no actual catergories, just entries as they come.
The portionsThe travel blog will have only travel related articles. This includes any hikes and stuff I encounter, during the journeys. Footfalls will have the rest, such as photography, treks during the home stay and the like.
What is going to happen is the frequency of posts. I'd rather be doing other things than taking photo's and writing copy in both aspects. This will mean less posts on both blogs.
Don't get me wrong, I like the traveling and will continue, even with some staggered journeys. Mainly, though, staying in one place for 1-3 months will be the norm. My theatre of operation will remain the European area with forays out to the Middle East and maybe (if I can afford it) South America.
So there you have it, welcome to Footfalls.

Normally I run a travel blog, but when I'm not on the road I do other stuff to keep from getting bored.
